  My First Mechas
 
Hi Guys I've been reading this board for awhile now and I'd like to share my MOCs. Comments and critique would be most appreciated.Sorry for the crummy photos, these were done with the Lego Cam. Wow! First mecha? It looks like you've been doing this for awhile now. Welcome to .space with joint tech. :) I don't really have any criticisms with this model save the colorscheme, but you've already explained why that is, so I'll let it drop. I (...) I thought it was a good mecha. It doesnt cary over many of the shapes that most builders use in mecha, but it still looks awesome, very similar to many japanese builder's styles (good thing :) ) The color scheme is indeed something new, but it (...) This MOC does contain the January seed part at its core. My son has dubbed it the Robot King. (URL) RK is very posable with 2 axis rotation in the legs and Pincher arms that twist and raise and lower by the lance pieces sticking up on the back. (...) I think its a very nice mecha. The color scheme is very good, the brown, grey and light green are gr8 together. How posable is it, in every picture its simply standing upright. A while back I built a blue addition to the Mini-Robot set made by Lego. Any ways I just finished two more versions, a black one and a white one. (...) You may want to try a three-point arrangement of magnets. For cargo that size, three magnets apiece ought to be sufficient, if you space them judiciously. If you can't, then four should keep it plenty stable. best LFB (21 years ago, 19-Jan-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

I do like the colors of the SP II, especially the Solar Snooper (in pics it looks okay, but in person it is a very stunning IMO). (...) I agree, I may use (...) (...) Those are neat, Steve--for some reason, the dropship reminds me of the Orion from the old _Privateer_ game.
