Hi Steve, I think it’s very interesting that you chose SP2 for a theme. That’s not something you see many people do. I don’t think it was as popular as SP1, but I liked the colors... IMO a bit more military in appearance than SP1.

In my space world, the SP II are the marine contingent of the original Space Police. I do like the colors of the SP II, especially the Solar Snooper (in pics it looks okay, but in person it is a very stunning IMO).

I like the shape of the dropship a lot. My only criticism is that the supports from the engines to the cockpit look a bit spindly. Perhaps you could add just a little to them to make them appear “stronger.”

I agree, I may use technic axels, that might beef things up a bit. Round 1x1 parts are completely out however, as I don’t think they could hold the weight of the cockpit (unless perhaps supported with a bar or lance inside).

Anyway, the look I was going for was from a random pic on brickshelf of concept art for a video game here.

Got any magnets? Your mecha look small enough that you might be able to support them with a single magnet. Plus it adds to the whooshability if you can just hold the ship over the mecha and the magnets grab. Bonus cool factor.

I’ve considered magnets, but I ran out of time, (I spend a good portion of the year away from my bricks in the Navy and rely on Ldraw until I get home. Actually, it does me some good, as I use things I see in the real fleet in my Space fleet).

P.S. Help! I’m trapped in an 3vil basement!

I’ll see if I can send some marines to get you some help.
