a few of you asked for it, so i came through (if but a little tardy)! heres
my eva-00 kai version with some poses! i also made a few changes. i deleted
my original pics, but if you remember, you may have noticed that the shoulder
panels were way too long on my first version--ergo i shortened them. i also
changed the head and chest.
the greatest change was to the legs: i added rotational click-joints using
some alpha-team pieces (thanks, dave simmons!) and the knee joints from the
star warsepisode one battle droid (the blue one). i also made the thigh
rotate for better posability, though too much rotation makes it look kind of
goofy.
finally, i decided to create a couple of weapons for my eva to add detail:
the pallet rifle, and the pistol (not originally used by eva-00).
i also plan on creating a launch frame for the eva to display on. look for it
sometime within the next few months!

P.S. if you are an avid evangelion fan, do your best to obtain the bandai
soul of chogokin die-cast action figures. they are expensive but incredible
when it comes to cool poses!

Jason! First the Wolverine and now this. Wow, Im so impressed!
Well, what can I say about this lovely mecha. I mean, its probably one of, if
not T H E best LEGO representations of an EVA. Youve really caught the feel
of the mecha just right, even if the proportions arent 100% accurate (Im not
doubting that they are, but I do realize that compromises must be made). I love
the articulation too, and you sure showed it off in those spiffy poses. The
weapons are great as well; Ive always had a soft spot for the blockiness of the
pallet rifle, and the pistol surprisingly works for me... one of the few times
Ill ever say that (why? cause pistols are exclusively a small-arms,
human-scale thing, that you just cant justify it in a mecha context).
If theres one thing Id change about this mecha, it would be to give it a
bigger entry plug. It just looks way too small. However, I could be wrong; Im
not really a hardcore Evangelion fan. :-)
Good work, keep it up.
