It does not seem as true to the SP color scheme
|
Im not a huge fan of the SP II color scheme, so I am sort of experimenting with
it. Im also trying out using larger blocks of color Mladen style to see how
that works.
|
Do the mechs stand on friction alone, or do they need
to have those bar arms moved to maintain their position?
|
Actually, friction alone is holding them up, the bar arms are there for looks.
|
When do we get to see pictures of the ship with the
landers loaded up?
|
Well, I have yet to work out a decent grappling mechanism for the dropship. My
first version was way to bulky. I cant seem to get it right, I was actually
hoping for suggestions and the idea from the community.
|
(By the way, I really do like the bow cannon in one of
your other folders--Im trying to get enough of the pipe
pieces to experiment with, and that shows the promise!)
|
Thanks! I have plans drawn up for the rest of that ship, but a completed
version my still be a ways off. I decided to switch to the SP II capital ship,
as it is the most light-grey dependant color scheme of the different space
teams. When you get enough pipe pieces and get something together, Id love to
see some pics.

| (...) You may want to try a three-point arrangement of magnets. For cargo that size, three magnets apiece ought to be sufficient, if you space them judiciously. If you can't, then four should keep it plenty stable. best LFB (21 years ago, 19-Jan-04, to lugnet.build.mecha, FTX)

| (...) Those are neat, Steve--for some reason, the dropship reminds me of the Orion from the old _Privateer_ game. It does not seem as "true" to the SP color scheme as the 'mechs are--and I do really like those little pod- bodied bruisers, indeed (...) (21 years ago, 18-Jan-04, to lugnet.build.mecha)
