Re: News Server just lost all of my News-By-Mail settings?!?

Ah, good reason. My ISP had a lot of difficulties this past week with their mail server. They appear to be stable for the last couple of days... I'll go and put back in my groups, I guess. -Andy Lynch (...) (26 years ago, 8-Oct-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

Re: News Server just lost all of my News-By-Mail settings?!?

(...) Lemme check... OK, I see your email address was in a list of about 20 "dead" email address that I cleaned out a couple of hours ago because they had all been sending back tons of rejections. Most of the time when this happens, an email account (...) (26 years ago, 8-Oct-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

News Server just lost all of my News-By-Mail settings?!?

Todd, I just realized that I haven't received any Lugnet mail for a couple of hours, and when I checked news.lugnet.com, I saw some messages that I should have received. I went to check to see if I was subscribed to the groups that I was seeing (...) (26 years ago, 8-Oct-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Web interface "ignore user"

(...) Your points are valid. Mostly I was asking to see if it was easy. However I would posit that the functionality of being able to filter, sort, omit and in general slice and dice content as you like is very powerful and does fit the charter. (...)   Re: Reducing fussiness in automated password appraisal

(...) I'd say level 2 is too easy. My current password doesn't fail until level 8. And one I'm playing with, trying to get the pattern down in my head and with my fingers, gets an outstanding even at level 12. (26 years ago, 8-Oct-00, to lugnet.admin.general)

  Re: Web interface "ignore user"

  Web interface "ignore user"

Todd, There's one particular user that I am itching to ignore, I'd like to not even see his posts, as they have a tendency to get me riled up and saying rash things, he's so clueless and rude. Is this a doable thing on the web interface (on news, (...) (26 years ago, 7-Oct-00, to lugnet.admin.general)
