Dave,
is it possible that this relates only to users who have set up several -
potentially invalid - email addresses?
I have just tried the procedure you laid out and it works fine with my account
(otherwise I wouldn't have been so sure about it to work).
Gabrielle: Just out of curiosity, what browser and operating system are you
using? I might give a different setup a try - maybe I'll see the error myself
then.
Anyway, here's an issue we need to sort out. Dave, if you have any ideas on how
to proceed, I'd appreciate if you contacted me by email - we can always post a
followup here when we have a solution. I'll have a look at the relevant sections
tonight.

I believe that it's supposed to pull a valid posting setup with your member account, which should prevent you from having to fill out the form every time, and also avoid the (...) (17 years ago, 14-Dec-07, to lugnet.admin.general)
