  Re: BrickFest Live on-line!!!

(...) fest area. I saw: * Kevin Loch's large space ship assembly (does he have plans for the final looks of this ship, or is he just building "at random"?) * train layout * lots of old and new official LEGO models (for example the USS Constellation, (...)   Everybody's Free (to play with Lego)

Well, the local radio has just had another rash of the Sunscreen Song go through, and I just couldn't help but parody it with a Lego slant... Here it is, for your (questionable) enjoyment: Ladies and gentlemen of all varieties of class, Play with (...) (25 years ago, 5-Nov-99, to lugnet.off-topic.fun)

New Bob the Builder set available

I was at my local TRU (Charlotte NC) this morning and spotted a new Bob the Builder set: Set 3274 'Bob and Muck Repair the Barn' (36 pcs). It comes with an 8 rung dark grey ladder that is either a new piece or a very old piece that has been brought (...) (23 years ago, 18-Sep-01, to lugnet.duplo)

  Re: Hail to the Chief!

I think both of you guys did a fantastic job. Though I am more inclined towards Jordan's observation car dome design since it has those grey pieces making it appear like it has support ribs just like the real ones. A few comments: Jordan, make the (...) (18 years ago, 29-Jan-07, to lugnet.trains, FTX)

Re: $300 on Lego in the last 3 days???

(...) Shiri, Did I have fun? Well yes and no. Consumption is a short lived high. I certainly appreciate the idea of feeling good about the purchase because I "earned" the money for it. It comes down to the old battle "need vs want". I certainly (...) (24 years ago, 28-Jun-00, to lugnet.people)

Re: Color Change - Final Update

Hi Jake, I didn't bought any of the 2004 sets and i think i will not. I'm really frustrated with this color change. I was thinking what - apart for changing back the colors (the wiser move: if there's anything worst than making a mistake it is not (...) (20 years ago, 7-May-04, to lugnet.general, lugnet.lego)

  studded technic beam availability

FYI - The Lego Store at Palisades Mall off 87 in NY has a variety of technic beams available in their bins as of this moment. You can buy cups of loose pieces there (large for $12.95 and small for 6.95). They had holed red 14 and 8 stud beams, GREEN (...) (21 years ago, 16-Feb-04, to lugnet.technic)

  Value of set 6377

This past February I acquired, among many sets from the same person, a 6377 Delivery Centre. It was from someone who has sold off his old LEGO Town collection over the internet, and he sold me much of what was left. I paid $30 for the 6377. Mint, (...)   No-Lego buying resolution tanks

My resolution not to buy Lego this year survived 3 months. The other day I bought the Cloud Car at The Construction Site (Waltham, MA.) However, I got $30 of Lasy and other construction toys before breaking down and buying Lego, so it didn't seem (...) (23 years ago, 30-Mar-02, to lugnet.market.shopping)

Re: Cheap sets for buildings (Was: The cost of minifigs)

As Shiri says, 6097 is the perfect choice for castle parts these days. It is cheap, easily available, and has a wide range of parts. It was on sale a while back at kbkids.com for only $25! The downside of this is that nearly every LUGNET'er has a (...) (24 years ago, 21-Apr-00, to lugnet.castle, lugnet.build)

Quick review of #7259 ARC-170 Starfighter

Just picked this one up at my local consignment shop (which, to my joy, happens to now be carrying new as well as used Lego, which means I can bring in old stuff I don't want, they sell it and I can use the credit to defray the costs of new stuff!).   Re: 2002 Star Wars flyer

(...) True. But then again, where we stand on an issue depends on what we build; I don't build roofs. I agree wholeheartedly that a complete slope system--all the parts available in the old red and black sets, in new colors--is highly desirable and (...)   Going to Legoland with Binoculars...

Yesterday I was looking at a Lego Shop At Home catalog, and I noticed that the 2x2 windows were still available in white in bulk packs of 25. I was wondering why these were still here.
