  USB->Serial Converts and IR Tower
 
Hi, I only have one serial port on my PC and it is currently hooked up to an external modem (PC slots are precious to me). So, I was planning on using an USB->Serial converter. My own LEGO christmas was relatively tame. My older sister, her husband, my father, and I went in together to get Mindstorms for my nephew (and we managed to find a 1.0, and I ordered the upgrade for him). I, too, am a big fan of Israel. Studied there in college for a semester and liked it so much that I dragged my wife there for our honeymoon (we hiked around for 3 months). If we end up going to sub-groups, I think I would rather see them split by function rather than by TLC's somewhat illogical theme grouping. Oops, I was confused as to which system showed the old catalog, and now it is showing the new catalog. Don't forget to try Target stores. That's where I've gotten my 2000 LEGO Star Wars sets. Also, remember that in most department stores (Target/Wal-Mart/K-Mart) that the Star Wars LEGO are in the Star Wars section, not the LEGO section. Mike -- Mike (...) I saw another typo in the S@H catalog. Lego has been famous for always having the correct pieces in every set and using the best of speel checkers in their literature, but lately they have been screwing up a lot! I hope this lapse can be blamed on (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.castle)

I thought I sent you a picture of this Castle before? The Weetabix (sp.?) Castle came out in the late 60s or early 70s (of the 1900s, mind you). I thought I saw somewhere that they used RayDream, an inexpensive modeling/rendering package. The parts were custom made so that black on black beams render well.
