Hi all you Lugnetters,

And a happy New Year to you all from Sydney, Australia. We've just flown into
the 21st Century in spectacular (and Y2K bugless) style. Yet again the Harbour
Bridge was blown up in an awesome display of fireworks. Gets better every year.

Wishing you all a prosperous New Year, full of fun and, of course, lots of
LEGO. Hope everyone has a fun and safe celebration.

And remember, everyone, take an ample supply of bricks to your bunker
with you! The basic Lego brick has been Y2K compliant since 1949 or so!

Here's a laugh for you, a media type was proudly displaying an ATM
receipt he got, dated 1/1/00 12:00:03, for a cash withdrawal, and saying
that it proved that things were fine. Things ARE fine (this was in
Auckland but the point holds) but it's the time of the inquiry against
your account that matters, not the time that the machine printed the
receipt. Silly get.
