Thanks for the info, I'm afraid it was a case engaging fingers before google!
On the subject of the two main loco manufacturers whats the main design features
that help differentiate them? I was looking at photos and although I can see
that obviously the locos are diffent I couldn't work out the 'signatures' that
allow you say, 'thats EMD' or 'thats GE'

| (...) Good question. If you'd asked me 20 years ago I would have told you about the shape of cab roofs, the way that the radiators flared, the pattern of fans on the roof and a few other things... but today? Maybe I'm old but I have a harder time (...) (20 years ago, 11-May-05, to lugnet.trains)
