Yes, if I had ONE more pair of wheels I would have done something like that,
it's a natural for two pairs of wheels around a center articulation point, with
leading single axles at each end also articulated....
or something like the 4554 underneath in general concept with each pair of big
drivers pivoting on a sub-bogie with the leading axles articulated from them.
One thing that makes engineering this tricky is the height of the drivers, yo
end up having the boxcab start rather high up unless you get clever with
skirting...
