Most of it looks great, however like Manfred mentions, why no opening for
the 1*1 round plate, and also it seems as if the hole for a driver rod is
actually recessed instead of standing out, which makes it a lot harder to
make a smooth running set of driver rods.

I think its enough so that, with the addition of the width of half the
ridge around a pin, itll stand clear. Fitting a round plate on the hub,
if it clears the end of the axle, would just foul the connecting rod
anyway.

True, those two detail ideas are closly connected with eachother. The wheel
as proposed by Reinhard Ben Beneke needs the pinhole standing out to be
able to clear the stud of an added 1x1 round plate, while the other wheel by
Ben Fleskes doesnt cater for the plate, so there is no need for the pinhole
to stand out.

I was lucky enough to see these fantastic drivers in person last week when
Ben made a visit to the GMLTC clubhouse. I dont know how much design work
Ben (Beneke) put into his design, but after having talked to Ben Fleskes
about all of his work, I know that he addressed many design issues one
wouldnt even have thought of. I honestly believe that TLC could not have
designed better ones, and further, if they didnt have a BBB (Big Ben
Bricks) on them instead of LEGO, youd think that they were produced by
LEGO-- they are that good!
This is a momentous occasion for AFOLs, and I would suggest that everyone
purchase a set of these drivers, thereby encouraging Ben to continue
designing and producing more quality parts that, frankly, TLC is unwilling
to do.

Ya ya... my only question is what constitutes a set. I see myself needing
*lots* of these in black and dark grey and grey...
Ive had a chance to actually build more with these since I posted my 1830 model
and Im liking them more and more. I hope to have a little something else to
show off maybe later today or tomorrow... no promises as I just found out I
might be going to the UK later this week.
