I was lucky enough to see these fantastic drivers in person last week when
Ben made a visit to the GMLTC clubhouse. I dont know how much design
work Ben (Beneke) put into his design, but after having talked to Ben
Fleskes about all of his work, I know that he addressed many design issues
one wouldnt even have thought of. I honestly believe that TLC could not
have designed better ones, and further, if they didnt have a BBB (Big Ben
Bricks) on them instead of LEGO, youd think that they were produced by
LEGO-- they are that good!
This is a momentous occasion for AFOLs, and I would suggest that
everyone purchase a set of these drivers, thereby encouraging Ben to
continue designing and producing more quality parts that, frankly, TLC is
unwilling to do.

I've had a chance to actually build more with these since I posted my 1830 model and I'm liking them more and more. I hope (...) (21 years ago, 10-Nov-03, to lugnet.trains, FTX)
