I used some heavily modified 5571 hubs on my Milwaukee Road:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?i=6399  (thanks, J-2!) - the
size looked good, but it didn't handle the tracks very well at all.  In
fact, John Neal has a great video of it tipping over trying to negotiate a
switch track!  This was because of the other issue with taller wheels - you
have to be especially carefull your center of gravity doesn't get too high.
Because it it does, watch out!

Hehe.  You also have to watch out for overhead obstructions.  How tall is
your Atlantic, anyway?  Looks pretty big.  And very cool.

Ah, you are looking for a Hiawatha Atlantic, are you Stefan?  Actually, J-1 was
modeling a Hiawatha Hudson with a little selective compression on the number of
drivers (his MOC is actually a 4-4-4 instead of the proper 4-6-4)

Uhh...oops.  I didn't know the Milwaukee Road streamlined any Hudsons.
That's what I get for not looking at the wheels.

I, on the other hand, *did* model the Atlantic, being inspired by J-1's use of
the 5571 wheels, and came up with my version here:
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=526

Very cool.  Both models definitely capture the smooth looks of the prototype.

I have since reworked it, but haven't taken any pics yet-- I've got quite a
backlog of MOCs to photograph these days, but soon...

I look forward to seeing them.
