If you're saying you want maroon to simulate dirtied bright red rather than
because it's a prototype, I strenuously disagree. For the most part LEGO(r)
has always been about shiny clean stuff. So if the wheels are bright red,
bright red is the color the part should be. Besides just because you don't
keep your wheels clean doesn't mean the Chinese or Germans or whoever don't...
(again, see this month's TRAINS article on Chinese steam. Those drivers are
shiny clean bright red)
