I sent my letter in about three weeks ago. I think Larry is right, keep the
request simple. Doors and windows are really the most sought after items. I did
not suggest a ratio or any colors, I simply copied and pasted a picture of the
door and window styles into my letter so there would be no confusion. I also
copied some of the prices which were paid for these kind of parts at Modern
Auction 10.
My letter was basically a plea for help on behalf of the LEGO train building
community. I also pointed out that special parts packs are not unheard of in the
LEGO world. As an example I mentioned the airplane wings and engines parts pack.
In return I recieved a form letter saying that LEGO cannot fill special orders,
but hopefully LEGO got the point that I was asking LEGO to produce a parts pack
for everyone. The only way we are going to get a windows and doors parts pack is
if enough people ask, and then maybe...

PS. A train bucket...to dream the impossible dream....

| I am going to be starting a letter campaign to Lego to try and get them to provide service packs with train windows and doors. I would like to get feedback from other people as to what they would like in a service pack as far as ratios of windows to (...) (26 years ago, 24-May-99, to lugnet.trains)
