I would also have to agree.  If you want blue that much, I have 4 blue train
windows I could trade you.

4?? I need 50 for a proper train. But sure, I'm always willing to
discuss trades.

Larry, I wish I had 50 for you.  I guess you should focus on the first 25
windows and build just one side.  Then you can just sit in a circle and have
the train run around you.  Pretend you don't know the other side isn't
there.  :-)

My picks would be:

1. Gray/Black
2. Red/White
3. Blue/Yellow (I don't think it will get that far)

Silver is just not going to happen. I could live with a 2 color pack as
long as it was equal amounts of both and all elements were in both
colors.

Agreed.  Silver is a more costly color as the bricks have the be run through
an extra step.  (although I would love a silver 50's diner.)

Adding the corrugated window and making it two colors with 2 sets of doors,
the piece count is up to 40 with 18 individual elements.  That is pushing it
probably to the limit.

I don't see the math, I think it is higher. Dump the "corrugated
window". Stay focused on train windows.

I see the math, since I have the spreadsheet in front of me.  40 pieces with
18 individual elements (counting the 2 colors seperate).  I checked last night
and found that they have service packs with more than 18 elements.  I think
there is room for the corrugated window.  Now if we could just get glass for
it, we could have a really killer window collection (they would work well in
town).

Does everyone have some solid ideas for the colors?

I updated the letter.  It is still not finished, but closer.  It currently
lists gray and black.  I know those are not the final colors, but I had to see
how it looked.  Check it out at:

Let me know what you think.  For the final version, I would like to have
pictures of a parts pack for us to print out and send in so that there is no
confusion.  Now I wonder who would already have all these parts in his own
personal collection?  Actually, Lar, if you don't have a digital camera, I
think I could make up a photo.  I have 1 of each part.

(...) And separate molds have to be made for the parts -- the base part is slightly smaller, to allow for the thickness of the plating. Steve (26 years ago, 25-May-99, to lugnet.trains)
