Hi, What state are you in? In Melbourne I have seen the Power Puller at David Jones, a bit pricy though. TRU are selling the 8462 Tow Truck for $136, which is good if you want pneumatics. I have just bought an 8448 supercar, an 8500 fire slizer, an 8237 speed slammers red car and an 8247 buggy. As these are the first sets I have bought since coming out of my dark ages I have no other lego whatsoever. What I want to know is what other (...) (25 years ago, 12-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

8450 was also available at one point at the Legoland California. Hi All A rather large shopping center (compared to Danish standards) opened today at the habour of Copenhagen - the center incl. a Lego Shop (rather small and not THAT interesting - but with GREAT prices for the opening)...BUT BUT BUT - Lego has (...) Time to jump in.... The FOS uses a small surface mount LED. It's about 2.5mm x 3 mm and mounted to a thin PCB. There are what look like diodes and what I would guess are current limiting resistors on the board also, so good luck trying to have (...) One of my spring things has broken on my 4 day old 8448. I know from the lego website and this newsgroup that lego will send me replacements but I don't know who to call in Australia. There isn't a shop at home survice down here. (25 years ago, 11-Oct-00, to lugnet.technic)

(...) Yes. Of course. Those are the best ones. LED's are basically just Diodes that make light. So you can "Twist" two LED's together to get one on each polarity. (...) Yes. Radio Schlock has a few: orange, definitely (but I think it's one of the 10mm "jumbos", so it wouldn't fit). And I'm pretty sure they have green in smaller sizes. (...) If you don't use a tiny ultra bright one you won't get much... Also, the circuit it the thing is already making sure the power flows to the LED one way. So you'd have to disable that as well if you want the multicolour LED's. My favs are the (...) Has anyone cracked opened one of the FOS units? What is the light source? I assume that there is only one light source that is somehow distributed by the rotary action.
