If I remember correctly, they included the shields and a more robust life support system to the Tie Advanced to make them, and the pilots last longer. This was the second coming of the empire, and it was a much poorer empire at that point, so they (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) Ouch, I would have to disagree with you on that last one. The B-wing is no where near as fast or agile as a Tie Advanced, but it does carry way more armor and weapons. Found UCS Tie and X-Wing in TRU Kingston, Massachusetts and Hyannis, MA. Impressed with both sets...however. X-wing contains gears which allow repositioning of s-foils via turning a round 4X4X1 located on back of ship...the hinges are weak and (...) (24 years ago, 8-Jun-00, to lugnet.starwars)

(...) The Shuttle is just a really cool ship! I think that kids will want it just because it looks cool. And, IMO, The Shuttle is highly recognizable as a SW ship.
