You're "cool air pump" is only cool if you are a Martian or a Battle Droid.
If you are a Mini-figure it is discrimination because you CANNOT ride the

Nah, they were going to be fast-transit tubes from the crew quarters,
control bridge and rec room to the main fighter hanger.  My pilots were
going to be the fastest to their ships in the fleet!!  Now if I want to do
that, I have to hire Martian pilots!?!  Not a bad idea, if I want to change
my space mythology just a little (and make an excuse to buy Tube Hangers).
