So I have much less motivation to post them,
since no one seems to care. Im still happy making them, but if no ones
happy to see them Ill use the time it takes for me to photograph, process
and post them for something else.

This is a definate problem on Lugnet - but I dont see the cause as excessive
cliques. Blaming it on cliques is a convienent, easy way to blame the
community, rather than anything else.
One of the things to understand here is that we are a *community* - which means
a group of friends. If Gil Shaw posts something, sucky or not, Im going to
reply, because Gil is my friend.
People post mocs here like what we do is review mocs for a living. Most have
jobs, and post in their precious free time or while the boss is looking away.
Either way, not a lot of time - and so posting is done when something get their
attention. Saying Im a first timer, hello is one way to get that attention.
Posting something that is funny, or including a joke with your moc is another
way. In fact, Mark Sandlin told me he started replying to my MOCs because I
often included funny pictures of myself with the my creations in my b-shelf
folder. After a while, we became friends and I became a part of the community.
But actually, I think the key problem for lurkers and established community
members is that format of how lugnet works. At classic-castle we get a bunch of
posts everyday - but the time it takes from finding the site to begin posting is
perhaps a minute - not so for lugnet.
However, Lugnet is being fixed as we speak - because Todd is an awesome dude.
