Kruer,
the heavy fighter is a schizophrenic nightmare
and i mean that in a good way. very innaresting.
very greebled.
here are two ships also overdone: (by paul hanson)
one named (synchronicitously) Overkill
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=6320
and the prospector
http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=8613
sure, they are overgreebled but somehow they look
like they SHOULD be. (and I'm not saying that yours
doesn't).
but overgreebled seems to imply something aobut the
owner of the ship and what it would be used for.
the prospector: one can imagine some weird guy out
in the belt, mining, talks to himself on long voyages,
wears the same clothes over and over again, etc
kinda creepy, no?
but your 'heavy fighter' doesn't really look like a
heavy fighter. it looks more like a leftover "heavy fighter"
from the last Rim War, that is still owned
by some weird guy out on the Rim, maybe a ex-
mercenary, who's so old he doesn't know how to do anything
else, and he's out there in the Zone, looking for the
aliens that wiped out a small colony where his family was,
and he's been doing it for years and years, and sometimes
people bump into him and wish they hadn't cuz sometimes he's
nice and sometimes he accuses you of being 'in league
with THEM'.....
i don't normally reply so long,
but i really LIKE the ship and it DOES have a certain feel
to it that comes across just from looking at it,
so i thought i'd mention it.
nice work.
and the hoverbike is cool too :-D
round, bumpy, bulky, and a fleebnork surprise ROFL

| Wow, thanks for the very detailed response, Paul. I might change the story line... -JHK (who's going to go and redesign the Heavy Fighter, or perhaps take it apart and try to build a greeblie-less ship) (...) (22 years ago, 13-Jan-03, to lugnet.space)
