  motor voltages

Along similar lines, anyone know of a nice way to regulate 9.6V down to 6 or so, at 2 or 3 amps peak? I'm looking for something that's efficient, and won't try to burn itself out during normal use. Possibly something like the LM317 is available in (...) (29 years ago, 13-Apr-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

6V motors off of 9.6V (again)

Yes, once again, I'm exploring the idea of running some 6V motors off of the handy board's 9.6V battery. Basically, I'm worried that if I do this, I'm going to burn out _another_ pair of motors. (Though the last couple were 3V, these are 6...) How (...) (29 years ago, 13-Apr-96, to lugnet.robotics.handyboard)

  Extention Board?

I heard that there is an extention board for the HandyBoard. Does anyone know if it is available yet, and where I can get one? Price also?   Motor Voltage Hack

Want to use motors of different voltage than the 9V required by HandyBoard? Then read this. I had decided to use converted Servo's as wheel drives, and they want about 4.8V.   Ultrasound Range-Finding

I would like to add range-finding of some description to my robot project. I would prefer to make it as cheap as possible.   h-bridges, current info

I'm trying to figure out a couple things. First, can four NPN transistors be used to form an h-bridge? I was looking in a book, the Robot Builder's Bonanza, which features a circuit which uses four TIP41 transistors. However, don't most h-bridges (...)
