No, they're actually fairly different.

It's not clear yet how compatible the internals are. Current alternative
development tools for Mindstorms _don't_ seem to work with Cybermaster.

I don't have it, but I've seen it, and I'd give it pretty poor marks, unless
you're looking for (not very many) decorative pieces.

| Besides, the CM cd-rom encompasses an extensive and impressive 'computer game' sort of adventure, with lots of computeranimatons, like a LEGO ISLAND cd-rom title in itself.
