Hmmm...  Speaking of SDK, based on a preliminary version of the Hardware SDK
documentation the NXT is not capable of being both a master and a slave at the
same time so a network of NXTs is limited to one master and three slaves and
that's it.  No circular or triangular networks.  No additional levels of
hierarchy.

"The NXT is not able to functioning as both a master and a slave device at the
same time, because this could cause problems in relation to loosing data between
the NXT devices. Therefore this functionality have been disables within the
standard firmware."

Sounds like it's a firmware block though, so hopefully it can be overcome with
"NxtOS" or whatever in future.
