Wedding plans [was:Re: Wedding Date Announcement] —Suzanne D. Rich
(...) Thanks everyone, for your good wishes. I'm setting up a discount code with American Airlines. I need to select a destination airport. Should I assume most people would fly into LAX or San Diego? There's about a 50-mile driving difference, yet (...) (23 years ago, 22-Feb-01, to lugnet.people)

How about MF rep details? Or did I miss the info? -- Kenneth A. Drumm Ph.D. (23 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.people)

Re: Wedding plans [was:Re: Wedding Date Announcement] —Timothy Carl Buchheim
(...) I strongly suggest San Diego. LAX is at least an hour extra drive, assuming the freeways have no traffic. (ha!) I'd say that San Diego and John Wayne (Orange County) are the only reasonable airports for people visiting Carlsbad, and of the (...) (23 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.people)

(...) Brandeis or Bentley? I went to Brandeis. Small world. eric (23 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.people)

(...) Yah well I went to Bentley so there :-p (23 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.people)

(...) Gah. You've mentioned this before, I've tried to not let it affect my opinion of you. :D eric (23 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.people)

Re: Wedding plans [was:Re: Wedding Date Announcement] —Larry Pieniazek
(...) San Diego, please. Or John Wayne. The drive to and from LAX is icky compared to the drive from San Diego. IMHO. But if fares are a LOT lower like 100 or so, then LAX. Not that I care, I'll be using miles probably. (...) Do you WANT a mailing (...) (23 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.people)

Re: Wedding plans [was:Re: Wedding Date Announcement] —Frank Filz
(...) Or lugnet.events.... I agree, discussion here is probably best. (23 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.people)

(...) Well, this is a wedding, not an event. (...) Here or .legoland.california or .loc.us.sd -- lots of options. --Todd (23 years ago, 24-Feb-01, to lugnet.people)

Re: Wedding plans [was:Re: Wedding Date Announcement] —James Brown
(...) When we flew down to Legoland last year, we went via LAX, and caught a little commuter flight out to Carlsbad airport, which (excepting a short taxi ride to the hotel), completely eliminates the need for a vehicle while there. Can't recall the (...) (23 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.people)

Re: Wedding plans [was:Re: Wedding Date Announcement] —Suzanne D. Rich
(...) I'm cool with it here. In fact, I recommend that people bring their questions and/or comments here. More group discussion will make me a better planner. (But this means I'll have to watch what I say about dealing with TLC!) ;-) If someone (...) (23 years ago, 23-Feb-01, to lugnet.people)

Re: Wedding plans [was:Re: Wedding Date Announcement] —Mark Papenfuss
(...) LAX is not the way to go, for 2 reasons - it is the most expensive, and the drive will kill you. Driving from LAX to legoland will be a pain in the rear. And it is at least a 2+ hour drive with no traffic (like that ever happens). San Diego (...) (23 years ago, 24-Feb-01, to lugnet.people)

How's the stuff coming along for minifig guests? I cant attend, but can do a minifig. Do we send one? Send instructions on how to do a minifig (whomever), like a .dat file? -- Kenneth A. Drumm Ph.D. (23 years ago, 24-Feb-01, to lugnet.people)

Re: Wedding plans [was:Re: Wedding Date Announcement] —Andrew Hull
(...) On that general idea, is anyone a doctor in their spare time, or perhaps familiar with Dieabetes? Because if i were to attend, I would hopefully (or probably) be coming alone. And I do have diabetes, so you know, that would make my mother (...) (23 years ago, 24-Feb-01, to lugnet.people)

(...) One thing which would be real nifty is if someone could set up a room-mate and ride sharing finder web application. I know I for one would like to be able to share a room and ride or taxi to reduce costs. On the ride aspect, I will be happy to (...) (23 years ago, 24-Feb-01, to lugnet.people)

Re: Wedding plans [was:Re: Wedding Date Announcement] —Suzanne D. Rich
(...) exactly! that's the sort of thing that would make a real difference. I wish I had time to set up such a webpage, but I don't. A good offer like yours, Frank, is the kind of thing that could make a difference between someone attending or not. (...) (23 years ago, 24-Feb-01, to lugnet.people)

Re: Wedding plans [was:Re: Wedding Date Announcement] —Frank Filz
(...) Which is why I of course worded my suggestion the way I did... While I have yet to be intimately involved with the wedding planning process, I've heard about it enough to know that everything someone else just takes care of is one less worry (...)       (...) Hmm, don't forget you've got FTX at your resources, no need to bother with pesky HTML, right? (...) <nod> Good luck with everything! I wish I could come; but since I can't, I'd like to at least send a minifig. Could someone who *is* planning (...) (23 years ago, 24-Feb-01, to lugnet.people)

Re: Wedding plans [was:Re: Wedding Date Announcement] —James Brown
(...) My plans are still partially in flux, but the odds are very good that I will be attending; most of the flux is from whether or not my wife (and baby) will be coming down as well. If they do, then we'll make our own way around, but if not (as (...) (23 years ago, 26-Feb-01, to lugnet.people)

Re: Wedding plans [was:Re: Wedding Date Announcement] —Matthew Teets
(...) Out of curiosity, has anyone got suggestions on a hotel, or has a discount program been set up? If you can get a block of rooms then usually you can get some good discounts (as well as some special stuff like the hotel van running you back and (...)      (...) Block of rooms? How about a room of blocks? Actually that is a good point. I would like to get all the reservations done soon but I don't know the complete schedule yet.    (...) Yes I normally hate asking for help, but I think this time's different. Your and your wife's offer is irresistible.
