Oh come on people, Lar was expressing his *opinion*. But Lar, I gotta say, water
is painted blue on most of the layouts I've seen, scale MR or not. An example:

Paul's snow tipped mountain was only barely taller than Teunis' wooded hill,
which was actually LOWER than his train shed. But I didn't get a single comment
about scale from either the model railroaders there or the public.
My opinion? I'm happy to see "selective compression" on scenery as well as
trains, and most people don't even seem to notice.
