  Re: Weeping Willow

(...) Just want to add: I've left some room inside the mountain's left part to put/hide the RCX. The wires can run out of the tunnel and under the track to whatever they need to connect to. If that's not good, let me know and I could find another (...) (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Weeping Willow

(...) First of all, it's a "Whomping Willow", and it doesn't shake or wiggle, it "trembles with rage and anger" at anyone who comes near! ;-) Therefore, I think that if you timed it so that when the train rolled in, just turn on the power to that (...)   Re: Can we change the date for a Space Fest?

(...) I'm sure that won't be a problem. I'll find out which would work best for our crew (especially the hard core space junkies ...). Robin (23 years ago, 23-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Can we change the date for a Space Fest?

I just realized that we're going to a wedding on the 21st of September. Is there any way we could bump the date one week in either direction? ~Grand Admiral Muffin Head (23 years ago, 22-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Space Fest - September 21, 2001 - Come one, come all!

Re: VLC Trains 2000 Layout pics (From Last Oct)

(...) Beautifully done layout, I like how the 4565 engines were done in different colors. In my opinion, that engine design is underrated by many folks.-Harvey (23 years ago, 22-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

VLC Trains 2000 Layout pics (From Last Oct)

  Weeping Willow

Robin, in regards to your 'tree'. What would you like the settings to be? ie, shaking, stop or wiggle or whatever it does... etc... I'm going to tie it into the Switch Track RCX. Dean (23 years ago, 22-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Space Fest - September 21, 2001 - Come one, come all!

Just a reminder to everyone, and a note to our American cousins lurking around the fringes (yo, Grand Admiral?). We decided that we're going to have a space-themed get together in September, partly in your honor! We've got some antsy members that (...) (23 years ago, 22-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Updated To Do lists

My updated lists include: The "Bricklight" sign now rotates. I re-created the little station that comes with the train crossing minus the control tower. Xan gives me way to much credit... I setup a test track and made a reed sensor that works VERY (...) (23 years ago, 22-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Updated To Do lists

The movie set is almost done. I have a reasonable facsimile of a catering truck. The actors/make up truck is becoming a pain in the butt -- I don't do vehicles well. But it'll get done. The make up trucks are just so boring. The beach is pretty much (...) (23 years ago, 21-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Re: Flyers?

Kevin, this occurred to us after you left last night. Is Thomas going to make it to this show (the vote was certainly that he should ;-). Robin (23 years ago, 21-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

  Updated To Do lists

This list is NOT complete. It doesn't cover all the arrangements that some of you have made with each other, and probably leaves out other things, but hopefully will be enough of a reminder for you.   Flyers?

We forgot to talk about this last night. Alex and I discussed this over the phone a bit, and we were somewhat undecided about whether or not to have flyers at the show(s), as we did last year.   Double Railroad Crossings' Tiles...

  Re: Emergency VLC meeting.

(...) Just thought I should clarify, the wood pieces are 1/4" thick. They've been cut into triangles, and each piece covers about the same area as a normal piece of paper. Uh, what are "shims"?? -Bryan (23 years ago, 20-Jul-01, to lugnet.org.ca.vlc)

Re: Never-ending quest for green baseplates...

(...) I have always considered them plates! But yes, I'm talking about the 1 brick height 12 x 24 plates ... er, bricks :-) The bad news is that I was confusing them with the smaller 10 x 20 ones.
