This is a tentative schedule which will obviously be flexible to the needs of
participants etc.
                         1:00 PM: Qualifying Round
                         2:00 PM: Competition Begins
                         2:01 PM: Competition Ends
2:02 PM: Rounded Beams: Misunderstood, presented by John
Guerquin
That's 1 hour for the qualifying round, and 1 minute for the competition...
for the best sounding Robot (I guess)

3:20 PM: Iain Hendry Playtime Theatre
4:45 PM: Desert Jeff Van Winden and Leave His Lego
Unattended Outside Library
4:00-5:00 PM: Watch Derek Raycraft, Iain Hendry, Jeff Van
Winden and Calum Tsang eat at Wendy's

LOL!!!!
Yes, I did NOT click on that link.... me bad.... :)
18 minutes??????  that's all you gave me???   :)

Unless I'm mistaken, you would have gotten 1 hour, 18 minutes just before
Iain's playtime theater (and perhaps a return of Smoopie???)

While those who attend regular dinners clean up (since they've already heard
your lecture already) :), the rest can listen and be enthralled with your
future university lesson.

:)

yeah, I guess I made my point regarding studless beams enough times...
I think I could take a page from Rob's thesis, and do my PhD on
"development of a model-based four-bar linkage mechanism using LEGO studless
beams, with over-center locking capabilities".  Anyone willing to donate
LEGO and sponsor me in this task???? :)

Uhmmmm no... not from me personally.  May be Derek, Jeff Elliott, or Richard
Noeckel might have some :)

In the meantime, I must come up with a new lecture to give.... how about....
why getting a LEGO Marie doll to drive a technic supercar is wrong on
sooooooooooooooo many levels!!!  Or, why LEGO technic enthusiasts continue
to migrate to the dark side of trains... except me, Bruce, and you Chris :)

no comment to the above topics, but I am sure that it would be hard to
come up with some viable thesii for the above topics, though some of the
research and defense might not be too hard... :)

wow, this april 1st gag drags on all the way to april 4th

Yeah,  the internet is slow here in Poland... the tuesday april fool's posts
only got here today...

John
Studless beams can be YOUR friend too...

Nice Post... I hope you are enjoying things in Europe, and I wish I was there,
not necessarily in Poland but in Europe (to Legoland Billund, Windsor, and
Gunzburg).

Hopefully, I'll be able to go to Legoland Carlsbad (maybe for Brickswest???)

Thanks,

Ben
