That is good advice, well-received, but which is sadly getting very hard to

And when someone pointed out to you a set that met your request, you almost
bought it?

I don’t know why you would assign an arbitrary and incorrect timeline to events
which you did not personally witness.
- Enter LEGO Retail, ask sales associate which current Technic sets include “classic studded Technic beams.”
- Clerk seems confused, shows me to the Technic display with nary a classic studded beam in sight.
- Try to make the best of my trip, fill a few PaB cups with brick, see an interesting Creator set, ready to cash out.
- Different sales associate points out last remaining copy of Technic set, which contains a healthy number of 14-stud and 16-stud beams, but I was looking for 6’s and 8’s for the project I was working on.
- Interesting set, but not what I was looking for at the time. Make purchasing decision to stick with what I had already found.
But honestly, Richie, for someone who is a
LEGO Ambassador, the tone of your
comments surprises me.

Perhaps you might consider increasing your community efforts and trying again?
