  Re: $7000+ PayPal Warning

(...) My guess as to what happened here is something like this: the Buyer on that transaction most likely stole someone's credit card number and/or identity, set up a PayPal account under false pretenses, bought a bunch of stuff, and then took off (...)   Re: $7000+ PayPal Warning

(...) Where did you get that info from? If a charge is reversed the money is taken from the seller and returned to the buyer. (...) Yes to both. I have had funds returned to me that I did not spend. I also run a BL shop and sell on Ebay. I also take CC's for subscrptions on a non-lego, non-paypal site.   Re: $7000+ PayPal Warning

(...) If that's the case then why would VISA complain about credit card theft and say that's one of the reasons their interest rates are so high? More to the point, what is the 1.75??% fee for then?   Re: $7000+ PayPal Warning

I think originally they stated the shipment was too a 'confirmed address' I think, which means that in theory PayPal did the funky confirmation that you get the bill for a credit card, which kinda defeats most easy fraud, or am I mistaken? (21 years ago, 4-Jun-03, to lugnet.market.services)
