The flavour of the general feeling about what does/doesn't need to be done
may be seen here: http://news.lugnet.com/org/?n=384, and its 3 replies.
My thoughts FWIW:
1. I believe we should 'tidy up after ourselves', so there is some immediate
work to be done in www.uklug.org.uk, even if that's to mark the whole site
as under construction, and a redirect to LUGNET local uk.
2. It would probably be useful to have a known central point of reference
for fest information. It could still link to a personal web site (eg JJ
Railton's)
3. I think James's offer is a good one, but he needs to be given our support
in terms of the direction the effort needs to be made, if any.
4. I don't think moving it to a yahoo list is the way to go.
Treat this as another Request For Comments if you will.
Phil.

| If we do need a new site I'm willin to help. I'm a web developer so I could write us a nice DB driven site if we need, and I have lots of friends who are web graphic designers who'd help out with the design angle. let me know if you wanna go forward (...)
