All the football codes have their media stars, just ask G.Ablett who was God
until he found himself. Not sure if it's an urban myth or not, but was there
a talkback caller in Melbourne, who on hearing of Wayne Carey's off-field
activities, was heard to say "first September 11th and now this".
Take their religion seriously those Melbournites.

Collingwood should hire Greg Norman as a motivator.

The Brisbane Lions were the Brisbane Bears until the remnants of the Fitzroy
Lions(?) headed north, adding blue to the outfit, while red never made it.
Maybe they should have kept the alliteration going, Brisbane Broncos, Brisbane
Bullets, Brisbane Brine Shrimp perhaps ?
Some football clubs include other colours in their merchandise and even in
their 'away' strips (but that's more Rugby League).

Maybe they need another academic(who can barely bat) as captain.
