The most glaring one that I'm aware of is on page 15 where it states that plates
(a.k.a. 1/3 elements) first appeared in 1962. Of course there were several sizes
of plates available from the mid-1950's on.
This set from circa 1958 had a series of small plates used together to form a
larger baseplate for the church:

So it's obvious that plates were available prior to 1962.
I know there are more examples in the book. Perhaps, if he has time, Gary Istok
will take a moment to post some of the ones he has found. I think he has
documented several more.
