I asked a while back about that (the military stuff) but of course those suggestions didn’t have much reception (as always : )

Last I checked, the Red Baron and Sopwith Camel planes were “military stuff”. ;)

While this is true. 2 years ago at Brickswest the then VP of LEGO Direct stated something to the effect that TLC was not ready to deal/create toys dealing with conflict from WWII and onward. The VP personally liked the models that AFOLs had made and were on display at Brickswest of WWII tanks but advised that TLC was not ready to go down tat route.

The models you pointed two are WW I. My take on it was that TLC did not want to deal with any issues veterans and their family might have with the toy and its depiction of the conflict.

WWI is “somewhat” a safer time-frame because there are *NOT* that many veterans left from that war or their families (son & daugthers) - not the grandkids). and it’s be 75+ years. WWII is a more recent condlict. So perhaps in another 25-30 years TLC might revisit the topic of models of the WWII era. In the meantime look at the secondary market for these models. Which IMOP are MUCH better than what TLC will make although very costly.
