You are making the case that TLC needs to change in order to get back to profitability. But you are ignoring the fact that TLC was profitable up to the point when it started making radical changes. Those changes were not a response to yearly losses, they were the cause of the losses.

I think reversing the original changes (changes away from a tradition that brought TLC 50+ years of profits) is a better response than piling more changes on top of the old ones. Maybe TLC has finally figured that out:

“We tried to follow trends, to have toys that were in fashion, that are ‘in’ one year and ‘out’ the next. But it didn’t work.”

Mark’s line of thinking is very much the same as mine and I’d like to add something.

The yellow ABS that has made up the minifigs heads and hands for decades are NOT just being used for heads and hands. You have (just about) all sizes of bricks, plates, tiles, cones, wheel hubs, etc. using that same yellow that’s (again) been around for decades.

So now LEGO is going to spend bucks on new colors of ABS and make new molds for using these new colors for just two sizes of parts just to be “politically correct”??? (Hey, that’s how I see it.) I’d rather see LEGO put that money into something else they’ve known in the past works.

My $0.02.
