Well, I'll cover this part.
For starters Mindstorms DID NOT EXIST; you'd have wait an additional ten
years to buy one at your local TRU,etc.
I wouldn't call 1988 my most favorite year but some noteable Technic sets
did come to market- the 8865 Test Car, the third "auto chassis'' and first
to not use the 2x2 plate turntables for its steering mechanism. The 8855
Prop Plane, which I'd have to say was quite a new thing because most of the
model sets were of some road vechicle or another. And last the 8853
digger, a set that made a nice complement to my 8851 excavator.
