After finding part# 817 Trailer for Legoland Car (
http://peeron.com/inv/parts/817 ) in a pile of used LEGO I could argue
juniorization has been around far longer then '97. '88 in this case. I'm sure
there are more examples.
Though I wont argue this point since I too feel true juniorization began around
'97.

In fact, I made a graph of average set rating for given years: (URL) (1) Notice how things are on an upward trend until 1975, (...) (22 years ago, 25-Feb-03, to lugnet.general) !
