Re: Best Lego Year of all time?

Wow, good topic! Although the entire 80's seemed really great, I started collecting Lego in 1991 so it's hard to rate the years before. So I'd have to say 1999 was my favorite year. The Star Wars line did it for me since Lego not only released (...) (22 years ago, 27-Apr-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space)

  Re: how odd!!!!

(...) They do indeed appear to be raw ABS. The company I work for has one customer who wants parts made in antimicrobial ABS with the intent of painting them afterwards, so we decided not to waste money on having the sheet colored. It all comes in (...) (22 years ago, 27-Apr-03, to lugnet.general)

  Re: posting setup

(...) I agree, and with good reason. Until just now I was under the impression that a paid membership WAS required. After seeing the link to the membership sign-up page, it never even occured to me that it wasn't required for posting. I've even had (...)   FOTW: A Fun Little Tale

I dunno where to post this, but I just had to share my excitement. I had my first Find Of The Week in some time last week. Of course, that makes me wonder whether I should call it the Find Of The Week, Month, Or Whatever. Well, this is what (...) (22 years ago, 27-Apr-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space, lugnet.castle)

Re: Best Lego Year of all time?

(...) I think this question has popped up before in some form or another. But it's the fun sort of topic that is always good to revisit. My 2 cents... After some thought, I have concluded that if I could choose only one year, then it would have to (...) (22 years ago, 27-Apr-03, to lugnet.general)

Re: Best Lego Year of all time?

(...) Yup. 1987 was the year in which the best thing happened for lego space....I was born. Really though, B1 is far above the other space themes, mostly cuz the cool 'figs. Star wars remains a pretty good line nowadays. Click hinges, new colors, (...) (22 years ago, 27-Apr-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space)

Re: Best Lego Year of all time?

(...) *smacks the young padawan of little BT1 knowledge* Blacktron 1 will always beat out Blacktron 2. One of the reasons is that BT1 have a flight suit, while BT2 have a "B", how do they stay strapped in? Trans Yellow is also a much more better (...)   Re: Best Lego Year of all time?

(...) Well now that is kind of interesting. I always thought most people liked the trans-yellow better than the neon green. I know I do. I wonder what other people think about that? -Mike Petrucelli (22 years ago, 27-Apr-03, to lugnet.general, lugnet.space)

(...) Okay, so you're right about the 1998 thing, but 2003 are you crazy?!?!?! :) I don’t want to buy the Orient Expedition sets, they look dumb. (...) Hey! I like the Stingrays! :) Although I can see what you mean a little... Anyway, Aquasharks (...) (22 years ago, 26-Apr-03, to lugnet.general)

  Dire translations

I'm just after browsing through the dutch version of the jan-jul 2003 catalog, and can't help but thinking that some of the translations must be quite poor.
