Matt,

You can download dozens of different HTML editors that will make creating HTML no
harder than using a word processor (in fact, most word processing programs can save
as HTML these days).

However, if you are using Netscape client, I highly recommend you try out the
Composer built in to Netscape 7.02.  It's relatively powerful, pretty easy to use,
and most importantly, it's free ;-)

Personally, I write my pages in CuteHTML, which is just a "prettied-up" text
editor.  I don't recommend you use that until you understand HTML better (if ever -
if you find an HTML editor that does all you need, stick with it).

FYI, often the easiest way to learn HTML is to read online guides, books, and most
importantly, look at the Source of pages you like, to see how it was written.  As
long as the page was written in basic HTML, rather than using
cgi/SSJS/JSPs/servlets/etc, it's not hard to see what it is doing after you look
over a few hundred pages ;-)

But you really don't have to understand HTML at all, as long as you have an HTML
editor that does everything you need.

If you get a chance, and don't have it on your system already, download Netscape
7.02, and try out Composer.  It's definitely a nice start to composing HTML pages.

Glad you like my name ;-) I'm currently using www.ampira.com for my hosting.
Because I was a previous customer from another company that merged with
them, I got a really cheap hosting price... However, I did a lot of research
before choosing this company to host, and they were the cheapest I could
find. They're very professional, I have a lot of bandwidth, 250mbs of space
with ftp access. I highly reccomend them for hosting :-)

Oh, okay. Thanks, but I was wondering if you knew any kind of free web
hoster (http://www.geocities.com for instance) although different. I tried
to make a site once, I didn't get any visitors except for me, and it was
hard. Also, do you have any tips on making a website? I don't know a thing
about HTML, I've only heard people talk about it. :) Thanks again for your help!
