I have to agree with both you and Calum. At least from my point of view
assorted buckets and tubs are a bit of a rarity these days in my part of the
province. So when I personally see something like the 4107 I'm extremely
grateful and desirous. Due to the high content of 1 x 1's some folks see
this tub as not the best deal. But to me, having those light grey and tan 1
x 1's it's a miracle... it's gold for the price of silver.
That was why I made the reference to the difference in price between these
pieces and the bulk packs. I'd *love* to buy more bulk packs... but for the
price of two bulk packs, I can have a 1000 piece tub on sale. Or, only 3
packs for a tub not on sale. (St. Jacob's had them for $29.99 on the
weekend). So my plea to the company was, "can't there be some sensibility
applied to your pricing schemes?" Maybe assorted tubs are too cheap. And
quite likely bulk packs are too expensive.
I'm still hoping to get more 4107's... I can't see my own collection ever
being so huge that a 1000 piece infusion like that won't be more than
welcome. I'm also hoping to round up buckets like the 4105 which offer a
slightly different breakdown made up of 500 pieces. I picked up one on the
weekend for $14.99. Still not a bad deal.
Of course, ideally I'd like to see tubs and buckets that contain more plates
and slopes, as I indicated in the post that started this thread. I see
those being useful in a huge range of models over a wide variety of themes.
Regards,
Allan B.
