In general, no.  But in your case, I suspect there is a problem.  Not
with LDraw/MLcad, but with the fact that you are modeling a toy with
its own copyright and trademark issues.

I don't think that Robotech toys or other products are currently being
produced, but *someone* owns the rights, and if they should happen to
find out about you, you could be the target of anything ranging from
cease-and-desist orders from their lawyer to a lawsuit.

I would suggest you consult an intellectual property attorney before
proceeding.

(...) Good advice. And I am not such an atty. but here's what I think... If you don't call it specifically what they call it, and it is only modelled after a thing, but is not in it's precise appearance or construction the thing itself, you can (...) (23 years ago, 19-Dec-01, to lugnet.general)
