Eh, what was her reaction when you said that ? Blinked her eye's at all ?

Greatings, M. Moolhuysen.

I don't recall that she blinked at all about that.  Having met us, she
probably expects it.  She did hem and haw a bit when we asked about color
though.  She said that if the grayscale version goes well, they *might*
consider doing color.  She mentioned possibly using 16 colors.  I immediately
responded that 256 colors would be much better.  :-)

You should have had me ask ;)

Oh yeah, The Tim Mind Trick.  This guy asks for stuff and *gets* it.  So
amazing, it's annoying.  :-)

Having seen all the colors in the model shop, I know they don't have 256
colors, but they could easily do 32 colors if they really wanted to.  Just
have to crank up a few production lines of 1x1 plates.

True.  Did they have 32 colors in the model shop?  Somehow I don't really
remember seeing all that many.  Those parts bins were BREATHTAKING though.
Enough to devalue any ebay auction.

Ah, did you see the color reference baseplate with 2x2 color tiles on it?
There were a *lot* of colors.  I'm sure there were well over 32 colors/shades
on that sucker.

(...) LOL :) (...) I suppose so. Yes I did see that baseplate. I also liked how the certain elements in bins had colored tiles indicating what colors it was available in. Supposively there's something like 40-45 colors that have ever been made. -Tim (24 years ago, 17-Jul-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.cad)

(...) One of the model builders said there are 52 official Lego colors but that they (the model builders at Carlsbad) can't figure out what all of them are. Steve (24 years ago, 18-Jul-00, to lugnet.general, lugnet.cad) !
