LOL..... Well I'm more selfish, and more small minded so there!!!
I don't even want them to take the lego that we have given them! (and this
includes all future gifts as well) Cause the castle and pirate sets that I'm
striving to become complete in are NOT going to just walk out that door! I've
spent countless hours and dollars tracking it down and (stamping foot) its not
going anywhere!!!
Doh! Maybe that is why I shouldn't give my kids the really rare sets, I guess
I should be keeping them for myself and letting them play with them sometimes.
Do other AFOLS buy only current sets for thier kids, and keep the rare ones
for themselves? Maybe the castle sets I was going to give my daughter for her
birthday in January should stay right where they are! (In my cupboard)
Perhaps she would like the NEW castle sets instead.
Rachel :-)

| (...) Hah! It's always a toss up between giving them the rare sets that I want or getting them the basic sets. My problem is my kids already have an eye for good Lego sets and/or pieces. It's going to be a real war around here in a couple of years. (...) (25 years ago, 31-Dec-99, to lugnet.general)
