  Re: pirate chasing merchant

(...) ...I think your melded version was great. Maybe call it a 'mini campaign' like game. And maybe next year I wont have to leave my ship on autopilot so much :-) I think the slight modification to the scale of the guns brought it a bit more (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jun-00, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: My Ogre was a Daily Illuminator!

  Re: pirate chasing merchant

(...) The game in Biloxi was most definitely a "battle" game (what Steve calls a "shoot-and-sail game" in his latest update to the rules and GM charts).   Re: pirate chasing merchant (was "Re: Brickfest")

(...) Was that game a battle game or campaign game? Of all the game descriptions I've seen, it's only clear which flavor one of the games was (battle game - the players clearly started with a large ship or several small ones). I like some of the (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jun-00, to lugnet.gaming)

(...) Hey Frank, it's me Steve. I jumped in at about turn 5 with the Sea Wench under the direction of Captain Slut. A drop in wind kept me from joining the fray for several turns.   Re: Pirate Game Postmortem (Was: Re: Brickfest)

Well, I guess I'm going to do some piecemeal responses... I will craft a final report in a week or so though. Some quick comments before addressing some of Lindsay's comments: After looking at some of the pictures, I'm glad I forgot tape measures (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jun-00, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: Pirate Game Mortars: First Draft

(...) I'll have to look these over when I have more time. I've definitely got some ideas on how to incorporate them, and I'm sure this first pass is most of the way there. I agree that they will probably mostly be usefull in a more battle type game, (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jun-00, to lugnet.gaming)

Re: Pirate Game Mortars: First Draft

Neato! It is hard to imagine this coming into play in the normal game much. However, it seems like this game, once you have a group who plays regularly, would almost require scenario construction. And your Big Honkin' Morter(tm) would be great for a (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jun-00, to lugnet.gaming)

  Re: Brickfest BrikWars

(...) That's partly due to the fact that Stephen had rounded up lots of people for the Pirate Game early Saturday, and thus when the BW started there were a lot of people already involved in the Pirate Game and less prone to leave. Also, the (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jun-00, to lugnet.gaming)

  Brickfest BrikWars

I heard that you guys were going to try and run BrikWars games at the Brickfest, but I haven't seen any mention of them in the postmortems - I take it they weren't a big hit? I was interested to see how (or if) the game worked out, since as far as I (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jun-00, to lugnet.org.us.wamalug, lugnet.gaming)

Pirate Game Postmortem (Was: Re: Brickfest)

Hi! (...) This is probably why Steve has many "assistants." When a game is that large, is it possible to allow people unconnected to that particular battle to mediate? I have a feeling that a 5- or 6- person Pirate Game might feasibly be run by one (...) (24 years ago, 13-Jun-00, to lugnet.gaming)
