Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003 —Larry Pieniazek
(...) A couple things... First, although posting publicly is great, it shows participation and should spur others on to participate as well, please mail me your info as requested so I don't lose track of it.. thanks!         Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003 —Larry Pieniazek
It has taken me way longer than I would like to get to this point, but here is a tentative master plan for the BrickFest™ 2003 public display layout. (URL) is a space plan rather than a track plan. The track plan has not yet been developed. I do not (...) (21 years ago, 29-Jul-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003 —James Trobaugh
Lar, What about crowd barriers and skirting? Normally the layout is not open to the general public at any time so crowd barriers / plexiglass isn't used, but since this year there is a public time should we plan on bringing our standard barriers (...)          Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003 —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Great questions! If you have skirting, bring it! I don't think any will be supplied. (The assumption being skirting mounts to your own tables, the GMU tables if you are using them, I think have thick tops so skirting clips may or may not work) (...)           Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003 —Christina Hitchcock
(...) the GMU table tops are a standard one inch thick (...) LOL.. GMU haveing "Velvet.. anything" it's a state school :-) GMU does not have any spare barriers. (...) Thanks for the invite/nudge Larry, many of the WAMALUG members are helping out (...) (21 years ago, 29-Jul-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003 —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Awesome! For some reason I was thinking of the smaller square jobbies which I know are thicker. Restaurant/food supply stores have skirting clips that will fit these tables. (only downside is that they make the outer edge of baseplates a bit (...) (21 years ago, 29-Jul-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Snip... (...) packing (...) bring (...) We're all adult LEGO enthusiasts here and not the general public, so I foresee no reason in bringing sneeze guards or stand offs. The only think that a sneeze guard would be recommended for here is to keep (...) (21 years ago, 29-Jul-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003 —Kevin Salm
(...) I asked about this several weeks ago, but it got lost and forgotten: (URL) will be bringing our own tables (just acquired two more today) that can accomodate our table covers, skirting, and Plexiglas barriers. We will be bringing our barriers (...) (21 years ago, 29-Jul-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003 —Jeff Van Winden
(...) Hey Larry, I was thinking about bringing a module (96x96 stud) to the fest (house construction and chick farm (thanks to reeds chickens..) these can be used for filler... Jeff VW (21 years ago, 29-Jul-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003 —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Awesome! Thanks! send me a TDL and the exact space needs (30x30 inches nominal I assume) and it will be incorporated in tonite's revisions (badged rtlToronto... do you have a favorite color?) If you can supply track for the front edge of your (...) (21 years ago, 29-Jul-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003 —Calum Tsang
(...) rtlToronto's official colour is dark blue, accent colour is white, but for a map, it's not a big deal :) Calum rtlToronto Organizational Identity and Branding Division (21 years ago, 29-Jul-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003 —Larry Pieniazek
Hi, I'm a bit rushed just now but wanted to get this out to you all. There have been significant revisions in the layout plan (individual orgs still have the same space, shaped the same way!!!) due to the discovery of columns that we have to deal (...)         Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003 —Kevin Salm
(...) A shared local loop sounds good to us at LUCNY. I have asked MSLTC to supervise and operate the LUCNY layout for us since all our members will be busy on the Third floor nearly the whole weekend. LUCNY layouts are never planned -- we set up as (...) (21 years ago, 31-Jul-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003 —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Great. Here's probably the final space plan: (URL) here's a tentative trial layout TDL. (URL) is still in flux but does show a local loop in the MSLTC/LUCNY area as well as both mains running through, and enough straights on the bridge (...)         Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003 —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Unfortunately it is possibly not to be. MSLTC's layout may not accomodate it. I've given you a local loop all your own though if that's OK. If not, we can leave it out, no big deal. (...) Nope! (grin) In other news, NELUG has indicated they (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFestT 2003 —Joe Comeau
Actually, NELUG will be bringing our own tables. The base table should be between 29" and 30" and the next tier up will be 39" to 40." I suppose if we can use the GMU table for the base table, we can try that, but we're still bringing our own (...) (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFestT 2003 —Larry Pieniazek
(...) Apologies if this is a dup, I thought I posted a reply but must have bobbled it. I knew you were bringing your own tables!!!! It's a good thing, it frees up GMU tables. For whatever reason it just didn't make the layout space plan... Here's a (...) (21 years ago, 6-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003 —Frank Filz
Will there be room for individual buildings? I was planning on bringing a small train station (16x40 stud footprint), however, if there won't really be room for it, I'll bring another pirate ship or two :-) Frank (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003 —James Trobaugh
(...) There will be room on the NGLTC tables, I'm only bringing about 4-5 buildings and 9 tables, so there is plenty of room for other peoples MOCs. jt (21 years ago, 5-Aug-03, to lugnet.events.brickfest)

Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003 —Kevin Salm

Re: Call for Group Layout at BrickFest™ 2003 —Larry Pieniazek
