Awesome! For some reason I was thinking of the smaller square jobbies which I
know are thicker. Restaurant/food supply stores have skirting clips that will
fit these tables. (only downside is that they make the outer edge of baseplates
a bit uneven if you don't shim them

Velvet being just a term, not an actual denotation of luxury... you see these at
banks and theatres sometimes.
