hey guys, I studied all weekend and after a serious amount of trial and error, I have a rendering that I'd like to share and get some feedback on. here it is... (...) It's needed for backwards compability. Using an old/not updated renderer shouldn't make the rendering look awkward. But using a newer renderer should make it better. (...) It's working but very,very slowly. If the POV clock hasn't stopped, then its still rendering. Like I wrote above, it'll take a long time to render on Rad Level 3. Try Rad Level 1 first and then, if you like the way the scene is set up, use (...) (21 years ago, 26-Jun-03, to lugnet.cad.ray, FTX)

thanks for the heads up to check the part. I checked in MLCAD, and the part was set to ghosted. Here is the rendering: (URL) canopy is temp until the actual part is released. Daniel, You can do whatever you want if you dare to edit the POV file before rendering. POVRay isn't that difficult to fafthom, and there are lots of things you can do that creates a better render. Does anyone here have an in-depth knowledge of the Povray source? There is a need to eliminate the time taken by parsing so real-time rendering systems like the Dat Explorer can work on large pov files. One Idea floating around is to save whatever (...) How can I add a wake to make my boats look like they are moving? I have tried a few of the water rendering demos, but i can't get them to work. I filled in the background with Photoshop, but I know it could look a lot better. (URL) an Ohio Class (...) (24 years ago, 19-May-00, to lugnet.cad.ray)

  4589 problem?
 
I've noticed on a few recent POV-Ray attempts that part 4589 Cone 1 x 1 doesn't show up properly, as though the surface isn't rendering, leaving only the central stem of the cone. I don't recall this happening before, but I'm not sure that I (...) (23 years ago, 9-Jun-01, to lugnet.cad.ray)
