I have noticed two additional bugs in mlcad, involving the fractal landscape and picture generators. When using the fractal landscape generator, and pressing 'ok' after deciding on a particular image, the program crashes. always. ditto when using (...) (...) Gracias. The 32-bit version worked without a hitch. I had tried the 16-bit version yesterday and it crapped out every time. The ~50Mb file was produced using primatives, but i went back and did it the normal way and came up with a much more (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

I've got a .DAT file that's ~50 Mb after exporting if from MLCAD. Is there anything that can convert a file this large (and potentially much larger) to .POV format? For your piece of mind, rendering this beast is not an issue. It will be done on our (...) (24 years ago, 16-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

Thanks for the pointers. Unfortunately, all the links I tried for L3P failed with a foreign language error message (I think it was an error message anyway). Yes it true .... You'll need: L3P and Povray (L3P is an example there are others as well, but I realy like this one since it's easy to use ...) Make sure they are installed properly then start MLCad. Load your model and select Export from the file (...) (24 years ago, 7-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

I am getting the feeling that separate programs are needed to generate POV or Raytraced pictures of models created in MLCAD, is this true? I noticed two annoying bugs in the non-bugfixed version when i was working on a model yesterday: 1. when on edit mode, if you click on the 3d-view and rotate it, the viewpoint resets to 0,0 at center as soon as you release the mouse button. this (...) (24 years ago, 5-Jun-00, to lugnet.cad.mlcad)

ok, i've found a few bugs myself, and i have a few suggestions: closing the picture generator window, once a large picture has been loaded, or sometimes just loading a large picture, yields a page fault: MLCAD caused an invalid page fault in module (...) (...) I can't find your known errors page but here's a couple: The Help on V1.9 doesn't work. If MLCAD can't find a particular file more than once it asks for everyone occurance - maybe you can create a 'Don't ask me about this file again' (...) (...) I'm sorry Michael, My problem was that I was confused about what mode I was in. It appears that you can only rotate the 3D model in Place mode, and not in View mode. When I run MLCAD, it comes up in view mode, and then I have to switch to (...) (24 years ago, 9-May-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.mlcad)

I had this thought about MLcad: What about having different settings (not settings in the menu) for view-mode and construct-mode (place/move/size)? Since you are waiting already, I will report a bug. When I try to rotate a model in the 3D view using the mouse, it fails when the model is complex. It pauses for a little while, then just returns to normal mode. It never goes into wireframe mode. (...) (24 years ago, 9-May-00, to lugnet.cad, lugnet.cad.mlcad)

(...) This is the right behavior (at least until now) if you select absolute rotation angles. In this case MLCad ignores all view angles and uses the specified one instead. I'm sorry, but I have found just another bug as it seems: I was trying to to fix the singular matrix error in the minifig torso subpart and had figured it had to do with som missing number in the rotation matrix. (...) When I tried to use a rotation step (first time), all 4 windows showed the rotated model in view mode, leaving me slightly puzzled. I don't know if that's the way it's intended to be. I haven't had much time to use your program since the last release, but rendering speed seams to have dramatically increased. And that's really nice.
