True. I think much of the difference is that mine is a 'world', and on
another scale. Doing just one of the houses doesn't give the same depth
experience at all.

One thing that I have been using for a while now is a dim light at the
*same* position as the camera - this ensures that everything you can see is
also lighted, at least a little. Especially important if you have openings
(doors, windows, portals, etc.), to get rid of the flat AMBient lightning.

I'll cut-and-paste your settings to see what I can come up with.  If
you'd care to let me review the 397K pov file, please send it to my
